Colorado Fly Fishing

Welcome to Colorado Trout Hunters

Colorado’s best fly fishing guide service! We are privileged to offer top-quality, fully-guided and instructional fly fishing trips on some of Colorado’s premier trout water.  If you are in Denver or the Front Range on business, having a fun outing with your family, or looking for expert fly fishing instruction from our professional fly fishing guide staff, we are happy to accommodate your specific Colorado fly fishing goals.

We offer a variety of guided fly fishing trip options ranging from beautiful Colorado alpine lakes, to technical tail-water fishing where one can hone their nymph fishing skills, to small creeks and freestone rivers where the trout like nothing better than grabbing the first dry fly that floats by. We also have opportunities to fish world class private ranches. The diversity of our trout fisheries ensure that our Colorado fly fishing guests experience great trout fishing year round; it also lets our fly fishing clients explore lots of different angling styles, often on the same day.

Colorado fly fishing guide service:

Colorado Trout Hunters offers a variety of Colorado fly fishing, and Colorado trout fishing opportunities.

On our guided outings we regularly target a wide range of species depending on location and season. Don’t be surprised when you tangle with feisty rainbow trout, or more elusive brown trout. There are also opportunities for native cutthroat trout, including several
subspecies (Snake River Cutthroat Trout, Colorado River Cutthroat Trout, Rio Grand Cutthroat Trout, and
Greenback Cutthroat Trout) as well as huge cut-bows, beautiful brook trout round out our trout species and can be incredibly numerous at some of our high elevation fishing locations. The lucky angler may even do battle with a rare albino trout, or as we call them, palomino rainbow trout. Tiger trout, Splake, and Lake trout occasionally come to hand also.

Although Trout is generally the target species we do occasionally catch bass, northern pike, suckers, carp, walleye, and even tiger muskie. Kokanee Salmon offer some exciting action in the fall for a few lucky anglers.
